Do you stand in the hardware store looking at the shelves loaded with 25 different types of masking tape and wonder…. “What masking tape should I use for my faux painting project?”

Yes… anyone who has ever picked up a paintbrush has had this same question running through their overloaded faux finishing mind.  It’s enough to fry what is left of my brain cells.

There is the

  • old fashioned vanilla colored tape,
  • and then blue tape and purple tape.
  • Quick release tape,
  • painters tape and
  • long lasting tape.

This quick 2 minute video has the short and sweet explanation you need. What tape to use for stripes is about the best I’ve seen.

I have been getting your Painter Lady Letters for a long time now. I have been finding them very interesting , but because of some major surgery and illnesses I have not been able to Follow trough with your ideas.and mine. I thank-you so much for continually sending me these e-mails, as even though I cannot achieve anything they still make me dream. They are very uplifting and again I Thank-you..
