Just got a wall glaze paint techniqe (technique) from Erica. It’s interesting to note that the techniqe turned out darker than they had planned and yet they all loved the way it looked:
Hi Debra,
First I have to say that I am so glad to have found your website. It is so approachable and chalk full of great resources!
I am currently doing some volunteer painting for a friend in order to build up my portfolio. We just finished this living room, where we did a pretty wash with gold and tan. It turned out a bit darker than we had expected, but she and her family loved the results!
The way to achieve this technique is paint the entire wall at one time with both colors.
Both the gold and tan are mixed with glaze and applied to the wall in random puzzle piece pattern blending the two colors as you go.

re http://www.thatpainterlady.com/wall-glaze-paint-techniqe-gold-and-tan/,
what sort of brush stroke or brush is needed to get this look?
thanks.
Hi Ross, For the above glazed finish, I would use a 3″ or 4″ brush. Use an x motion, moving the brush with your wrist, to blend the colors.
