How To Paint To Look Like Marble

Do you have some ugly… I mean ugly… pillars in your home? Something that you just wish you could paint to look like anything but plain ugly pillars?  Do you want to know how to paint to look like marble

Recently, I received an email from a gal who did just that.

She painted the columns to match the Travertine marble tile in her master bathroom. 

And… she sent a picture:

Now… I'll bet you want to know how to paint to look like marble. Well… if you have been a subscriber to my newsletter… you know I have been working on a video to teach faux marble and faux granite. I have finished taping this latest faux finish video, but I just haven't done the editing yet. :(  

I did find a little video to share with you that goes over several faux painting techniques including how  to get paint to look like marble.

Marble painting is really just sponge painting… with an extra bit of accent and a few layers of high gloss sealer… you have marble.
