I was surfing the internet for faux painting artists that might have blogs. I found this guy who posts with pictures about his latest projects.
The post about painting garage doors just blew me away. I have been thinking about doing this myself. Real Wood Garage Doors that look like gates are over $3000 and I just don't "need" one that bad.
I think I will paint mine with some big hinges and handles to look more like gates. The photos posted on this Faux Artists Blog give me some ideas.
The first base coat will have to be yellow ochre. Oh, I can see the neighbors eyebrows raise up now.
