When I was faux painting full time, I was always on the hunt for cheap supplies and good deals on equipment. Some of those sale items can be found locally, but most of the great deals are available only online.
If you haven't started shopping for faux painting supplies online, you are missing out on some very cool tools and even cooler prices.
Here is a letter from one of my new subscribers:
Greetings Debra,
I am so excited about your newsletter and the tips you give out in them. I have been faux finishing for about 15 yrs now. I am looking for some really good deals on architectural stencils. I live in the Midwest and no one seems to have any good deals around here on them and a lot of my costs get absorbed in using them. Of course the way they turn out is fantastic but I'm ready for a cheaper solution.
Here is my Quick Tip of the Day!
eBay!
Did you know you can ask eBay to email you whenever someone puts something up for sale that you might be interested in?
I did a search for "stencil column" in the craft category on eBay. I found one great deal for the top and bottom capital. Very ornate. And… only selling for about $5. Now that's a deal!
I also did some hunting around on Amazon. Many people like you and I are cleaning out their craft closets (for me it is an entire room). They not only sell new items on eBay, but also on Amazon.
Amazing deals on Architectural Stencils can be found... and it doesn't take alot of time. Heck, you can shop in your pajamas!
