I have an oil based mural on a wall in my home. It has not been completed to my taste so I would like to cover it but am not sure what to do Paper – paint – what type of paint – should I sand it. Can you help?

My home has a floor to ceiling mural painted on one wall. The mural was painted with oil based paint. My question:

What do I need to do in order to cover the mural or remove it? I’d like to paint the wall but think that papering it may be the best solution.

If I choose to paint, what can I do to remove the mural before painting?

Hi Debra,

I have a client who wants me to wood grain some new baseboard, doors, and casing for them. I know how to do the application very well … but not sure how to price it.

Do you price the baseboard and casing by the linear foot? and if so, how much?

In regards to Rays msg above…….can you use water instead of paint to seal the tape b4 putting on your color?
