I have an oil mural painted on a wall and would like to paint over it. Should I sand it or can I simply paint over it?

I am painting a beach scene on the side of the garage by the pool. I wanted some advice on the type of paint, primer, sealer to use. Can you please help me?

My question…I will be painting on stucco with acrylic paints….is there some kind of gel or the likes that will help hold the paint open longer as I will be painting on a warm day in the sun….Thank you for your help with any info you feel I would need.
Thanks

I am trying to paint over slick wallpaper. What paint do I use to prime the walls before I paint?

Hi Debra,

I have a client who wants me to wood grain some new baseboard, doors, and casing for them. I know how to do the application very well … but not sure how to price it.

Do you price the baseboard and casing by the linear foot? and if so, how much?

Thanks, Richard

My home has a floor to ceiling mural painted on one wall. The mural was painted with oil based paint. My question:

What do I need to do in order to cover the mural or remove it? I’d like to paint the wall but think that papering it may be the best solution.

If I choose to paint, what can I do to remove the mural before painting?

Thank you,

B
